This is another story, for a strong and purposeful woman who after pregnancy and obesity, finds herself in the sport, which helped her to get in great shape and even participated in bodybuilding competitions. Read the story of Mylene Lagante Eugenio and I am sure that she will bring a good dose of motivation to you.
Being a woman is more than just a flowery clothing, earrings and make-up & a long skirt. But the ability to give birth for a child is the most wonderful essence of a woman.”
I am a mother of two kids, a forteen year-old girl and an eight year-old boy is quite challenging to take care. With the day to day mom’s chores, time is not enough for me. I became huge after giving birth to my second child and I didn’t bother being an obese and being fit was never into my priority as a mom.
Through internet and social media, I was curious and amazed of some well-known fitness mom although during that time I am not interested of it. How would I consider getting into that with insufficient time, money and interest? The certain thing that always builds into my mind is why the others can do and what if I give it a try?
The first stage was difficult but slowly I was starting to learn how to budget my time and learned that getting into fitness world was interesting. I need to take opportunity of being a local of Baguio City since it’s a best place for Cardio activities. I used to run with my husband on the streets shaded by pine trees, challenging my self how the burn the fats with a cold foggy afternoon. Getting into diet is also not that difficult since fresh fruits and vegetables are easy to find in Baguio City.
Slowly I loosed weight from maximum of 87to 62kgs with continuous jogging although I found it slow in terms of toning my body. I learned through fitness forums that lifting weights will tone the body faster that is why I decided to go to gym. It was really tough as a first timer but I believed it is really normal. I was determined to go on especially after getting my weight goal of 52kgs.I met friends who became my mentor and trainers and with them I understand fitness more and more. “Blessing in disguise”, the gym needed a lady fitness instructor. I was one of the candidates and was able to get the job.
I joined the recent Gemalyn Crosby Sports Festival 2015 last 28th of August 2015 for the Bikini Category. Not able to get into top 5 but it was a great experience for a first timer at a prestigious national competition. I also competed the Nueva Ecija Muscle Showdown 2015 last 2nd of September 2015 Bikini Category. As the only lady competitor representing Baguio, I was very proud to place 1st runner up.
I truly believed that nothing’s really impossible! Determination and dedication will take you there. Just keep doing want you want and the results will be there.
