This is the story of a strong woman for which does not apply that if you gave birth must be out of shape. Although she has two children and almost no time, she still manages to make a great body and even to participate in a bodybuilding competition. Read her story and I’m sure that she will be a great motivation for you.
I’m like a mum on a mission , my kids motivate me mainly , they see everything and while we are in the generation of playstations Xbox and iPhones , I allow this within reason but want my kids to live a healthy lifestyle and be active and that’s my responsibility.
I have a 13 year old boy who plays football as his main sport , previously competed in Taekwondo and we usually fight over the equipment at home while my baby is trying to sit on my head when I’m doing pressups .
I left an 11 year police career as my family moved to Spain and my youngest child’s father is in the military working away from home 90% of the year , I literally am me myself and I when it comes to support which has definitely been tough going.
I only have a spare 2 hours a day to myself while my baby is at nursery so I use this time to get to my gym and believe me it’s a whirlwind affair !
I lift heavy … I like to mix up my workouts and currently focused on volume training and my body is changing big time , compared to my thunder thighs and loose skin around my stomach a year ago.
Ive had 2 c-sections and dreaded that pouch never leaving me but it’s gone and that’s definitely due to a good diet and proper form doing deadlifts /presses and pretty much all the major compound movements.
I do pad work as part of my cardio day training and circuits at home.
I’m definitely focused and determined to be stage ready by May 16 , I still get up through the night for my baby and I’m like a zombie most mornings but the pullup bar comes out and you’ll catch me pushin out pull-ups / chin-ups and that’s me … Pachinnggg!! Awake .. Ready to go …
I’m a mum on a budget and with 2 growing boys I’m very conscious of what things are costing , we all eat well , and I eat more than ever … It’s very doable !! and I’m in the best shape so far of my life .
This is really for all the mums pushing 40 in similar circumstances who think it’s all over having kids and feel like giving up.
I’m hopefully proof that it’s not and would love to be someone’s motivation to kick start there beautiful body again.
