Ved Diesel made awesome transformation. By taking things more seriously he not only lost the unneeded fat but also gained a lot of muscles and strength with the proper workout routines and diet. Read his story:
When I finished college I was in the worst shape of my life from being in school full time and also working night shifts to make ends meet. Shortly after I went to the military and at the same time began to train harder. Shortly after, I began competing in bodybuilding competitions for a few years. Currently I train for strength and conditioning trying to be an overall athlete. Never looking back and never giving up.
My training style is a lot different then a typical bodybuild program as I find no benefit in performance and strength from bro type training. I developed a style that involves a hybrid program of powerlifting, hypertrophy and conditioning. Main focus being in big multi joint movements and volume. For example working on % of 1RM, it would look like: 65% 2 sets 6-8 reps, 70% 2 sets 6-8 reps, 75% 2 sets 6-8 reps. This will work on strength and also hypertrophy as I’m trying to get up to 6 to 8 reps. I next would follow a more hypertrophy super set such as split squat 12-15 reps + leg curl 12-15 steps for 6 sets and 1 min rests. My final part to this session would be prowler pushes for 15 to 20 meters 5 rounds. My training is very similar to all body parts, power+strength+conditioning is my formula I hit each session. I train 2 on 1 off, Lower, upper, rest. My nutrition consists of high carb moderate fat and protein. I eat whole foods such as eggs, meat, potatoes, rice and a very large amount of greens. I do not consume protein powders or any supplements other then minerals and vitamins. My staples are magnesium, zinc, vitamin d, fish oil, probiotics and caffeine pre workout. My overall goal is to perform in any situation physically, to be conditioned, strong yet keeping an aesthetic body. All 3 are possible if you combine the proper training and nutrition. I also currently coach active special forces operator’s and military personnel.
